In this series Jimenez explores the cultural difference between herself and her Guatemalan family roots. Using diptychs of abandoned Ontario homes contrasted against her documentation of Guatemalan life, Jimenez’s black and white prints dialogue on personal history and constructed memory.

Each diptych have been taped together, negative to negative to enforce the relation between the two.
